Synergy Style Yoga
Open classes
Beginners to advanced students are welcome. The class is structured such that each posture has an easy version and a full or hard version that the practitioner can choose to attempt with the level of intensity that practitioner desires. Open classes follow the same 9 week sequence as the synergy style course classes. They are structured around the Beginners course level with postures from Intermediate level introduced slowly throughout the 9wk period. Classes are 1.5hrs duration, please arrive 10-15 minutes before class.
Beginner Level 1 Courses
No experience of yoga is required as courses are structured to gently introduce students into the practice of Hatha Yoga. Emphasis on relaxation, correct breathing and flow while aligning the body for health and fitness. Beginners are welcome in the Open classes (see above) or can enroll in Beginners Courses. Classes are 1hr 30 mins duration.
Beginner Level 2 Courses
Beginner Level 2 courses are run as a Morning courses in Bondi, attendance required twice per week, beginners to intermediate students welcome. It is best to have tried at least 2-4 Synergy style Open classes before commencing a Level 2 morning course, experience of at least one Synergy Beginner Level 1 courses, and a regular practice of 2 classes per week for at least 9 weeks is preferable but not essential before commencing a morning course. Courses are structured to introduce students into a deeper practice and understanding of the Synergy style. Emphasis on relaxation, correct breathing and flow while aligning the body for health and fitness. Classes are 1hr 30 mins duration.
Intermediate Level 1 Courses
Intermediate Level 1 courses are evening courses, attendance required once per week, for people who are continuing regular practice, students must have experience of at least 9 weeks of Synergy style Open classes or three Synergy Beginner Level 1 courses. Students are expected to attend at least one Open casual class per week in addition to the course. Classes are 1hr 45mins.
Intermediate Level 2 Courses
Intermediate Level 2 courses at Bondi is a Morning course, attendance required twice per week, for people who are continuing regular practice, students must have experience of at least 9 weeks of Synergy style Open classes or one Synergy Beginner Level 2 course. Classes are 1hr 45mins.
Advanced Level
Classes for the more experienced student, must have attended at least 50 yoga synergy style classes previously and be able to work at their own pace. Students are expected to attend at least one Open casual class per week in addition to the course, for the duration of the course. Advanced students may attend the Open casual classes or enroll in an Advanced Course or Morning Course Classes are 2hrs.
Shanti (Peaceful) Yoga
Gentle yoga for those beginning yoga. The Shanti Gentle Therapy Class is designed to gently guide students who have not practiced yoga before, or those with injuries, to improve strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness, whilst maintaining a flowing meditative practice. Each posture taught has a simple version and a complex one that the yoga practitioner can choose to attempt with the level of intensity that practitioner desires. This is an Open class and does not require pre-booking, please arrive 10-15 minutes before class time.
Pre-Natal Yoga
If the times or level of these prenatal classes do not suit you, please see timetables for class times at the school nearest you, Bondi, Newtown or Manly. All Yoga Synergy teachers are trained to safely teach pregnant women in these classes. Prenatal classes are Open classes and do not require pre-booking, you may attend at any time during your pregnancy. Classes are designed to help mothers towards a healthy and less stressful birth process Yoga practice during pregnancy creates a sense of well-being and helps prepare a mothers body for the birth of her child.
If you are starting yoga for the first time and you are 28 weeks or more, then it is best to start with the pre-natal classes
