Piotr was drawn to yoga by his interest in utilising movement, breath and mental focus in order to maintain health and harmony in life – something that was first sparked during the years he spent practising martial arts. He began learning taekwondo at nine years of age, going on to train competitively, attain his black belt and win tournaments at state and world cup levels. Piotr’s desire to further develop his understanding of the body/breath/mind relationship led him to Yoga Synergy.

After studying media and law, and practising the latter, Piotr decided to balance the pace of work in the corporate world by further immersing himself in yoga. He has experienced first-hand, and firmly believes in, the great importance of maintaining a regular physical practice to sustain the mind and body.

Keen to share his experience and understanding of yoga with others, Piotr began teacher training with Yoga Synergy in 2009. He also attended Clive Sheridan’s workshop in 2009.

Piotr appreciates the equilibrium in all aspects of yoga. He enjoys the challenge of learning a complex posture, but also embraces the importance of learning how to practise mindfully by working appropriately with the body. Piotr thrives on the energy of a class environment and also values the freedom which comes with being able to practise anywhere and anytime.
